Privacy
Effective October 19, 2026
This policy covers the Cleanerly website and the Cleanerly app for iPhone. It explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and only collect what we use.
In the Cleanerly app
Your account: your name, email address, ZIP code and, if you add it, your phone number. Your password is stored only as a secure hash.
If you’re a cleaner: your business details (business name, the ZIP codes you serve, an optional description, years of experience, team size, whether you bring supplies or are pet friendly, and the payment methods you accept), your services and prices, and your weekly working hours. Your business page is shown to customers once you choose to go live.
Bookings: the service, date and time, price, the address and any notes the customer adds, and the booking’s status (requested, confirmed, declined, cancelled or completed).
Who sees what: when a customer requests a booking, the cleaner sees the customer’s name, address, notes and phone number. The customer sees the cleaner’s phone number once the cleaner confirms. Nobody else can see your bookings.
Payments: customers pay cleaners directly. Cleanerly doesn’t process or store payment card details for cleanings.
The app doesn’t use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and it doesn’t track you across other apps or websites.
On this website
When you ask for an invite:
- Your email address and ZIP code, whether you’re looking for a cleaner or are a cleaner, and the page you signed up on.
- If you’re a cleaner and add it, your business name.
- Your answers to the optional follow-up questions, if you answer them.
- How you found us: the campaign tags in the link you followed (UTM parameters), the page that sent you (address only, without its query string) and the first page you landed on.
- Your approximate location (city, state and country), which our host derives from your IP address, and your browser’s user agent.
- A keyed hash of your IP address, used only to stop spam signups. We don’t store your IP address itself.
When you visit: we count page views and clicks on our own servers without cookies. Each event records the page, which button or section it was (for example “Sign up” in the header), your approximate location, device type and the site that referred you, plus a visitor code that changes every day and can’t be turned back into your IP address.
Microsoft Clarity: we use Clarity to see how people use this page through session recordings and heatmaps (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement). Clarity sets cookies and masks what you type into form fields. In the UK, EU, EEA and Switzerland it only runs if you accept, and it stays off if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
How we use it
- To run the app: show cleaners to customers, take booking requests, and let both sides manage them.
- To email you when Cleanerly opens in your area, or when it’s time to set up your booking page. We won’t send you other marketing.
- To understand demand by area, so we know where to open first.
- To see which parts of this page work and fix the parts that don’t.
- To prevent spam and abuse.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use advertising pixels on this site.
Who processes it for us
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Google Cloud | Running the app’s servers (United States) |
| Neon | The database for app accounts and bookings, website signups and page events (United States) |
| Vercel | Hosting this website (United States) |
| Apple | Distributing the app through the App Store |
| Microsoft Clarity | Session recordings and heatmaps, only when allowed by your choices |
Cookies and storage
Our own page tracking uses no cookies. Your browser’s session storage keeps how you arrived (campaign tags and referrer) and whether you’ve already signed up during this visit, and local storage keeps your privacy choice. Microsoft Clarity sets its own cookies when it runs. You can change your choice at any time with “Privacy choices” at the bottom of every page.
How long we keep it
App accounts, business pages and bookings are kept while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete account). That permanently deletes your account, your business page if you have one, and your bookings.
We keep invite signups until we launch in your area and for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, or until you ask us to delete them. Page events are kept for up to 24 months.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can stop our emails at any time. We’ll do it within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example California, the UK or the EU), you may have more rights under local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. We won’t treat you differently for using any of these rights.
Children
Cleanerly is for adults booking or offering house cleaning. You must be 18 or older to create an account. It isn’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
